This is a Hand crafted Caterham 7 pedal box cover that features an embossed 7 logo.

It is handmade from lightweight 1.2mm sheet aluminium and is supplied un-drilled so that it can easily be fitted to any car with this size cover.

The finish is bare aluminium to match the existing bulkhead material, (the green shown in the picture is a removable protective film) which can also be polished or painted if required.

This swirlpot has been specially made to be an easy upgrade for a Caterham 7 without the extra cost of a new header tank. Fitting is simply a matter of cutting the top hose above the 'v' of the cross tubes and adding the pot. (The inlet and outlet are slightly angled so that the pot remains as vertical as possible ) Then re route the small pipe from the inlet manifold to the lower fitting and connect the top vent to the header tank as shown in the fitted picture.

It has been made to fit a K series engine but would probably suit any car with a similar layout and 1 1/4" ID hoses.

 This is an essential upgrade for any high performance engines cooling system. If any localised boiling occurs  it can cause unwanted air, in the form of steam, to become trapped in the system. When a swirl pot is added to the top hose it removes this air before it can become a problem.

The pot is hand rolled from light weight 16swg aluminium( not simply cut from a length of tube ). The inlet and outlet pipes are 1 1/4" in diameter and hand swaged, then cut to fit the body, giving a clockwise swirl. There are also two 5/16" hand turned vent pipes mounted to suit the 7.

 The pot is fully TIG welded and supplied in bare aluminium finish
